Advice from Influencers 2k-24k: Best Editing Apps for Instagram
Hi everyone!
Like I said last week, I found an amazing community of gals on clubhouse and we’ve all started doing rooms together to help give advice on what we’ve learned on our path of micro-influencing. The room is comprised of influencers mostly in the lifestyle and fashion space, ranging in followers anywhere from 2k to 24k.
If you’re new to the app, click here to read Clubhouse 101: Etiquette, Tips & Tricks.
Basically each week we do a new topic but the format is the same, we will talk about a topic for the first 30 minutes, and then open it up to the audience for Q&A’s. Last week we talked about how to work with brands including pitching, influencer platforms, and when you should and shouldn’t give your rate. This week we focused solely on the best editing apps to use for Instagram content.
I wanted to share some of the ones we mentioned below (shout out to our admin Bri for organizing everyone’s notes and to all the wonderful ladies who gave us amazing gems during this talk!).
BEST APPS FOR EDITING
For minimal editing, lighting, presets and background adjustments use
Lightroom
Snapseed
Vsco
For editing unwanted objects or people
Retouch
Facetune
For smoothing and small adjustments
Facetune
Aribrush
For cool, editorial edits
PicsArt
For shooting your own content
Lens Buddy (let’s you take multiple photos on a timer setting)
For Instagram Story edits
Storyluxe
Over
UNUM
Unfold
VIDEO EDITING APPS
Splice
InShot
Prequel
While editing can be a great way to keep consistency in your posts, keep in mind that the more apps you use, the quality and resolution for the photo will reduce - so don’t go too crazy! Also if you want to record a video and have better quality, be sure to use the back-facing camera instead of the selfie camera.
If you want to join in on our active Clubhouse discussion, we host rooms every Thursday at 7 pm PST in the Influencer Lounge. Our rooms are called “Advice from Influencers.”
Hope this helped and happy shooting x
