Korakia Pensione boasts two stunning pools: the Mediterranean and the Moroccan. I spent ample time in both, soaking up the serene ambiance. The Moroccan pool, with its lush surroundings and comfortable loungers, was a perfect spot for relaxation. However, the Mediterranean pool stole my heart with its exotic vibe and slightly warmer waters, making evening swims a delightful experience.

Culinary Delights and Convenient Room Service

The food at Korakia Pensione was decent, not extraordinary, but the convenience of texting the concierge for room service at any time was a major plus. Whether I wanted a quick snack or a full meal, the staff was prompt and attentive. It was a relief to have such efficient service, especially during my lazy afternoons by the pool. Plus, downtown is just a short walk away where there are a ton of restaurants.

Evening Entertainment: A Nostalgic Touch

One of my favorite aspects of the stay was the late-night movie screenings by the pool. On one memorable night, I had the pleasure of watching Breakfast at Tiffany’s, one of my all-time favorite films, under the stars. The ambiance was magical, with the pool softly illuminated and a gentle breeze adding to the romantic atmosphere. They even passed out some popcorn for us to enjoy while we watched. It was a perfect way to wind down after a day of relaxation and exploration.

Heavenly Massage Services

Adding to the luxurious experience, I scheduled a massage on the property, and it was nothing short of heavenly. The process began with a friendly staff member coming to my room to escort me to a quiet, serene space designated for massages. The session lasted over an hour, during which I was enveloped in a state of pure relaxation. The skilled therapist worked wonders, melting away any lingering stress and tension. This personalized, tranquil experience was a highlight of my stay, and I highly recommend indulging in this service.

Final Thoughts: A Worthwhile Splurge

Korakia Pensione is undeniably on the pricier side, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. The blend of Mediterranean and Moroccan influences creates a unique and captivating environment. While the Moroccan side offers slightly more chic rooms, the Mediterranean side compensates with its superior pool. The efficient air conditioning, convenient room service, and thoughtful evening entertainment made my solo birthday trip an unforgettable experience. I would happily stay on either side, and you have access to both pools regardless of which room you stay in.
