I’ve been to Coachella probably a total of like five times in my life. That’s probably five more times than a lot of people go lol. Don’t get me wrong it is an amazing experience, and if you haven’t gone before, I definitely recommend it. BUT.

Coachella is tiring.

(And on the inside I have the mentality of a grandma, started earlier this year).

First of all, it’s super hot. Granted, this last year, we probably had the best weather but that’s also because we didn’t even make our way to the festival grounds until after 4 PM most days.

Secondly, the bathroom situation. I mean, I can’t believe I used to camp once upon a time, but there’s literally only ONE nice set of stalls at the whole venue (you know what I’m talking about, next to all the lemonade stands in the back).

And thirdly, my drinking days are slowly moving behind me. I mean, I love a good cocktail, and I can have wine or sangria ALL day - but festival drinking is hard. Your choices are limited and overpriced and in the heat, it hardly seems worth it.

I think I’m just getting to this phase in my later twenties where I’d much rather save my money and plan a little getaway. Tulum sounds nice. Maybe finally take that trip to Morocco I’ve been dreaming about. If I saved all the money I’ve spent on Coachella tickets over the past years, I definitely could’ve made a trip to Greece and back by now.

But like I said, I’m just jaded. I have no regrets! If you plan on going, the music and the experience make it definitely worth it. And of course, I enjoy the outfits. Besides actually seeing my favorite artist perform on stage - that’s my favorite part honestly.

But the older I get - the less patient I am and the crowds, the desert, and the heat all start getting to me haha. So we’ll see if Coachella 2019 is actually my last, but if it was, I’m not mad about it. Spent it with my best friends and my partner in crime. Next year though, let’s spend that money on a bad ass airbnb and chill, ya feel?
