A Walk Through the Lavender Fields

Ever since quarantine, all I’ve been wanting to do lately is be outdoors. Some of the other bloggers I follow were posting pictures at the lavender fields and I honestly jumped at the opportunity to do a (safe social-distancing) activity. My boyfriend and I snagged tickets and went to Cherry Valley for a lovely little lavender date.

It was a cute date. Short and sweet. And everyone was wearing masks and staying 6 feet apart.

We did a loop or two through the fields, which wasn’t super crowded thankfully. We were there on the last day though, so the flowers don’t look as vibrantly purple as some other people’s photos (or perhaps they were edited..) but in person they were still so beautiful. The first part of the festival you go through the fields and you’re able to kind of wander around, look at different flower types.

Once you get to the end, you go though this more woods-like area with trees and history. It was cool to go through and read the little posters, which basically let us know that the place actually used to be a wellness retreat—which makes sense given its peaceful scenery.

They also have the cutest little lavender shop! They sell bunches of lavender, honey lavender, soaps, and all kinds of goodies. I snagged the lavender, honey lavender, their blueberry cheesecake and some lavender lattes. Their cheesecake was honestly the best I’ve everrrr had. We went back the next day just for seconds. :)

I think the festival only happens once a year, and keep in mind you do need to reserve tickets (and in advance). I luckily got ours right before the last weekend but I’d start searching in July. Tickets were $8 each adult and you had to reserve a timeslot in order to go, although they were pretty lax about it when we were there.

Let me know in the comments what other cute date ideas you have during quarantine, and if you prefer watching video, check out my vlog below:
