What I Wore: Tulum & Playa del Carmen
Tulum and Playa del Carmen are honestly both stunning. The two destinations in Mexico, about an hour apart, have become hot spots for tourists these days, especially for us Americans who are literally right next door.
My boyfriend treated me to a trip there this year for my birthday for about a week and let me tell you, my virgo ass had an outfit planned for every. possible. occasion. Since we were going in the offseason in September, it was actually still hot but had cooled down a little more so I packed a lot of white neutral sets, a birthday slip dress, and some fun outfits for dancing and lounging on the beach. My outfits with all of the details are below xx
For roaming around Tulum, I chose this wrap satin number from Stone Cold Fox. I paired this outfit with my espadrille sandals to match Kin Toh’s treehouse aesthetic (cute little restaurant if you want a nice view btw, however I’d recommend Rosa Negra for food—but more on that in another post).
For the beach I wore a couple different forms of over ups: a Nation LTD tank tied in front, and also this fringe cover up I got from thrifting.
I also paired this satin top with this satin skirt for a soft, subtle look.
My birthday outfit consisted of this Nasty Gal slip dress which I adore. Ugh I can’t wait to wear it again x
Clearly I went for a neutrals summer vibe haha. But honestly, probably not traveling again for a while, so I’m glad I went out all out. Travel guide coming soon!
